For the next couple of weeks I want to record all my rides on my Wahoo Roam but not upload them to Strava. Then at the end of the two weeks have all the rides upload to Strava. Is this possible?

Oh. Actually I don't know. Does your roam need to be connected to the internet via phone? Does it auto upload?

Depends why you want this. You could just disconnect the Wahoo from your phone/WiFi then the data stays on there until you link it back up.

Or set your privacy on Strava so your rides are only visible to you then change them back once you're ready.

I've certainly kept a few days worth of rides on my garmin when I've been in the middle of nowhere.

I guess you could run out of memory at some point, but unlikely with modern devices.

You can disconnect your Roam from your Strava app and then re-sync it afterwards (you may still end up having to manually upload the rides as it probably won't pick up on historical rides done before you pair the device with the app).

Just turn off Auto Upload. The ride will still be sync'd to the Wahoo app. Then you just go into each ride in the Wahoo app and export them to Strava whenever you want

Or set your privacy on Strava so your rides are only visible to you then change them back once you’re ready.

This would work but I wouldn't do it if you care about segments/leaderboards etc. If I ever default to private uploads and then switch to public it makes a right mess of segments etc, sometimes they never show at all.

I just leave Strava set to private uploads by default, and only make them public if I want to manually. Is it that you don't want someone to see what you've been up to for a couple of weeks or that you want to hold back the uploads for some other reason?

Edit: does anyone really care about segments/KOMs anymore?

Never experienced issues with that and I have mine set to private by default to hide all the gym/other boring stuff.

Stealth training?
As above, I think unless you unlink your wahoo from strava it'll just auto upload. I'd suggest setting it so that it defaults to private when it uploads then you can change as and when you want.

wide group of followers, going on holiday, doesn't want it known that he's away from his house?

I'm going with stretching the definition of self isolation past breaking point.

Unless you go into the gpx files and change the dates on each waypoint it'll just back date them when you upload.

I dunno if you can do this on a Wahoo, but on my Garmin I often 'pause' the ride rather than ending it. The next ride I restart the Garmin and choose a new lap. When I'm done I end the ride and it uploads it all as one (often very long) ride.

Wanting to combine files into one long ride.
Not wishing to signal to followers that you're away from home for a long period.
Stealth training.
Rising somewhere cheeky and want to be well out of there when you upload it.

Edit: does anyone really care about segments/KOMs anymore?

Well possibly not, but given that it is/was Strava's reason d'etre, there's a fair chance OP might care about them. I think the whole argument for/against chasing segments has been done to death, but for me it provides an interesting diversion on longer solo rides.

Never experienced issues with that and I have mine set to private by default to hide all the gym/other boring stuff.

Yep, exactly why I had done it too, nobody needs to see me posting the exact same commute or workout multiple times a week. It's not an uncommon issue though, standard Strava suggested fix was to change activity type to 'canoe' or something then turn it back, but simplest answer was just to default public then hide if it's boring. Need to be quick if it was an extended lunchtime ride and your boss is on Strava though!

Either disable auto-upload as suggested earlier or set the rides to private. You can always make them public at a later date.
