I know this is asked constantly but anyhow....

i am about to finish building up my cotic soul and i need to get me some tyres to run tubeless on the new stan's 26" wheel set, i want to run tubeless and my riding will be west country (haldon, dartmoor etc) and surrey hills
was thinking of going for a schwalbe set (say bobby nicks and/or rocket ron), which compound do i go for that won't wear like they are made of soft cheese but also won't make it feel like riding on ice all the time?
open to other suggestions as well

Well, you might be better off fitting Winter tyres now! Nobby Nic's seem to come in different versions now, I've been using the triple compound ones tubeless for a few years. In fact I used them on my old Soul. Yes they are light but not sure I'd want to use them in Dartmoor on a regular basis.

I reckon the evo gatestar version is the best Nobby Nic, didn't get on with a Rocket Ron at the back at all though

ok, looking at something for more winter use then, is the specialised butcher/ground control option more suitable?
what is the major difference between the standard and grid versions of the tyres? there is no price difference it seems
thanks
