Any ideas? Have to break the news to Mr gozarch that the Easton EC70 he wants doesn't come in 27.0, and it'd be nice if I could suggest an alternative (carbon or otherwise)!

Thomson or second hand Race Face XY if you can find one.
As a fellow 27.0 bike owner, there aren't that many good options. Certainly no carbon ones that I've found.

Thanks for the tip re. Thomson. Somehow I'd only looked at the Masterpiece, and they're only 27.2

If you want a layback 27.0, your choice is even more slim, as thomson don't make the 27.0 post in the layback, so you pretty much have to hunt down a XY or use a cheapy snaptastic kalloy.
