Perfect for adjusting the height of the saddle to suit the incline of the terrain. This dropper post weighs 699g.

Rated 4.5/5 by What Mountain Bike? (July 2015): "..it's £50 cheaper than any other dropper we've tested and more functionally sound than most several times it's price.....a total bargain"

If that's even a little bit reliable that's an absolute bargin! Shame they don't do a 27.2

I reckon you could fairly easily make a remote too.

If I needed a 31.6 post I'd take a punt.

You may get on first name terms with Decathlon returns dept as an added bonus a year way from Btwin

That's cheaper than a lot of non adjustable seat posts.

Worth a punt with an older frame or winter hack

"That's cheaper than a lot of non adjustable seat posts"
And by the looks of it has a better clamp than a lot of them at that price too

Has anyone got theirs yet? Ordered mine on the 14th, order status is still "being prepared".

Still waiting. Not actively. More a nonchalant wait, casual style.

Only just got round to fitting pretty impressed with the action and quality of it, i have a reverb on my main bike but couldnt justify buying another for my 2nd bike but for £30 im very happy lever is easy to get to and use too which suprised me as only used remote droppers before

The welds on your lamppost are terrible.

Out of stock online. How does it work? Sit on saddle squeeze lever = saddle goes down. Stand up & squeeze lever = saddle goes up? So it's all up or all down, no in between?

yes - sit down/give it a nudge with your @rse while pulling lever it goes down, unweight and pull up and comes up.
Not sure about the inbetween - i definitely had mine at inbetween heights, but not sure if it's supposed to hold at any height or if that was just because it was new.
Only done one ride on it so will update again.
So far very chuffed though!

My husband got one, seems well made.

Only thing is, does not seem to work so well if you are light, maybe it will loosen up a bit.

Nope! 100 miles of abuse, no play, no probs and I love it!
Just need to bodge a cable release to an old left hand shifter and it will be hard to beat for the minimal outlay.
Shame that they have all gone, though. I could do with another..

How long is it? Actually quite tempted to grab one purely for a spare

400mm in total. The seatclamp is basic but very effective. No real play (you can feel ever so slight movement rotationally by hand though).
The under seat lever is smooth and rattle free too.

I spent a good portion of the first ride sitting down over rough stuff to see if it was just waiting to implode, but it was fine.
Just over 100 miles of Tod/ Blackstone edge/ Marsden has not caused any play or wobble yet.

Bought one of these off a fellow Singletracker who got one and found it didn't fit. As said above, it works absolutely fine! I'm pretty sure that it is the same as the Procraft H-Lifter that retails at approx 115 Euros. if that is the case then it is a ridiculous bargain - http://www.bike24.com/1.php?content=8;navigation=1;product=98755;page=1;menu=1000,2,110;mid=0;pgc=79:5016

I'm the best part of 17 stone and so far the post has worked superbly!

I've just read the review on the website
"Simply reach between my legs and with a single touch it goes up and down with a nice smooth action".

Fnarr fnarr.

Mines just arrived this morning after sitting at the sorting office for a week. Whilst unpacking it en route to work, I notice that there is a screw at the base which seems to be some sort of pre-load adjustment.

Should I be doing anything with this?

Just fit it, it's working great on my lads bike, best £30 we've spent on it.

£30 for a dropper post. That's what I call progress. Shame it's not 125mm but hey 😉

And there was me assuming that a Decathlon dropper post would naturally fit either of my Decathlon bikes.

Alas no, neither my own Rockrider Big RR 5.3 nor my wife's Rockrider 520 have 31.6 tubes (the seatposts markings had worn off so I took a gamble that this would work).

Anyone interested in an unused dropper for £30?
