[#4793546]

Out on the MTB tonite and it was very cold & a bit wet under wheel.

As a result slushy mud collected on my rear mech and it froze solid ๐Ÿ™ what's a good solution for a quick mid-ride de-ice?

Would a little bottle of windscreen de-over work or maybe some WD40?

Don't want it happening too much, or if at all on the Dyfi at the weekend

Ride faster the friction will create heat, stopping it from freezing.

Wet lubed seemed to work for me and plenty of it.

Just wee on it. If you have your hydration levels correct you should be ok for a few de-icing stops

I think the usual advice is a little more natural in origin. Just make sure you drink enough in advance so you are ready to deploy your body temperature salt solution.

Water from camelback or bottle. That's what I used on frozen up jockey wheels

A wee strategic skelp with your right foot now and again.
