Not sure if I can justify 70 quid for Five.Tens and a local clothes shop has DCs in for half price. The soles look like they might be ok for flats - anyone have any experience of them?
my dc radars are pretty good, but nowhere near as good as my AM40's. i have the radar mids, look great and lots of support.
I've always used DC shoes for riding, and am currently on a pair of Centers.
They grip nice and are comfortable to wear with the pedals I use. I went down the same route - couldn't justify spending on 5:10s and found some DC's cheap and haven't regretted the decision once.
Never used DC's for MTB but loved them in my skating days.....
I wouldn't discount 5.10's....Mine are approaching a year old and are the only shoes i wear for riding. Use them with Superstar Nano-tech pedals and the soles are showing very little wear. I ride in all conditions, never get cold feet even when wet and they are holding up fine.
A mate of mine rides in DC's. He hits pretty big stuff and doesn't seem to be coming off the pedals. They were chup too.
Ditto Nickegg. I use exactly the same combo.
dc are ok but feel cheap.
etnies and emaericas are nice.
riding flats isnt about grippy shoes either.
Nike 6.0s are superb.
I use Airwalks that I got from the local factory clearance shop for £20. They do me well on my Atomlab flats.
if u get proper bmx shoes they will last, they wont be as grippy as five tens tens. but they will be good.
