[#11298514]

Evening
Does anyone have any experience of the Dartmoor Primal 29er.
Twin daughters race XC on Crabon bikes but are saving to build a fun training/ throw about bike. The carbons ones are on their last legs.
The Primal looks good for fun stuff and longer rides.
Really wanted to know on the ride quality and sizing if possible but also where to buy them in the UK.
Thanks in advance.

If it’s any help I’ve got a primal plus frame from a few years ago. Not built at the moment but was with 27.5 plus wheels.

Had 140mm x fusion forks on it and rode great. Not light but was fun everywhere.

Mines a large and I’m 5’ 11” with short ish legs.

I’ve got the 2017 version - it was the only frame I could find that would take all the non boost stuff I took off an older bike. It’s only a spare/loaner bike so I don’t ride it often but I definitely enjoyed riding it on local trails and Cannock - everyone who rides it likes it.
Headset is a bit pants but does it’s job if you keep adjusting it, other than that and the dodgy “ride your way” stickers it’s all good.
Think the new version is a bit longer and slacker, maybe the headset is better too.
My bike is not heavy but is kitted out with what was considered fairly high end kit in 2014.

Cheers Ofked
Hopefully sounds about right then.
Never look at the stock headset as any good anyway.
I Amy have even found a whole bike that might be worth it.
I would have loved a non boost version as we have all the spare kit to go on it!
