Just wondering....

If Datatag is worth the asking price £25? And if any data tagged bikes are recovered etc..

Data tagged bikes are not 'found' more than non tagged bikes however if your bike is nicked and the police find it there's a good chance you would get it back.

Don't really get the idea of it - is it that thieves could file off your frame number - making your bike un-recoverable, but can't do so as easily with a datatag?
Wouldn't have thought your average bike thief could be arsed taking a file to a frame, but I could well be missing something.

All it means is that your frame won't re-enter circulation, but your parts will end up in a for sale ad put up by a 'classifieds only' member. It won't stop your bike getting nicked.

On my first point though, what percentage of parts on sale now on the classifieds do you reckon came from stolen bikes? There are a load of threads around scammers not sending parts, but if the seller takes your money and sends your parts nobody suspects a thing. Am I the only one to think this?
