Hi I'm heading to dartmoor in a couple of days and wondered what the riding conditions are currently like, I've been before but only after a long dry spell. If any one can help ?

Did a Biblical lap of burrator yesterday evening but it was still fairly firm.

Dry today and tomorrow but wet on the weekend again.

Cheers ..yeah saw we had more rain coming riding mon tue which looks better. Fingers crossed it can take a bit of water before turning into a mud fest.

Rode burrator again this afternoon and it was pretty dry mostly. A few stubborn puddles.

Supposed to be a bit of rain over the weekend so it'll be more about timing than anything else.

Thanks just sat looking at the weather. It's got to beat waiting for kids outside of wembly stadium..... Just can't seem to get the plume of feathers pies out of my mind and look forward to the rocky bits down fron manaton. Can't wait !

This won't really tell you anything, ๐Ÿ™„ but ...

Dunno about the top of the moor, but the southern edge had a fairly brief, but pretty heavy thunderstorm through at about 0400 this morning. I was out in the fields about 0600, and the grass was soaked (as was I by the time I got in), but the ground didn't really feel like it'd been touched. There was a lot of mist over the eastern bit of the moor too this morning, but it won't have penetrated the ground.

'Tis 'sposed to rain later tho' ...
