Was up there on Saturday, won't have changed much I reckon.

If you're doing the classic loop then from the Plume east towards Nuns Cross is a bit of a mess, the surface took a battering from the ice over winter and needs time to dry out and compact. The long B/W to Burrator is as rocky as ever and no real muddy bits. Expect the few stream crossings at the top end to be deeper than usual though. The section towards Eylesbarrow has suffered a bit but most of the muddy bits completely rideable, the odd one is deeper than you think though ๐Ÿ˜‰ . The B/W down towards the scout hut is great and the BW that runs under Sheeps Tor is soaked through.

Rode the route on Sunday & it is as per bagpuss says.

I went down the Widowmaker/Rocky Road which was awesome as usual & after Nosworthy Bridge I took the first BW to Deancombe/Sheepstor Common & Groundhog Day. It was very boggy on Sheepstor Common & with today's rain it ain't getting any drier. The Ringmoor cottage descent was a blast & is well worth a visit if you go down.

I live to the east of the moor-proper, just inside the nat park, I'm at home icky, so have been looking out the window. Yesterday we've had rain from late afternoon, and today on occasions it's been torrential. Like jam bo says, it's also cold with it, yesterday lit the fire early, though a touch warmer today with the sun and there's been some sunny spells in between.
The amount i've seen running down the lane in a river past me indicates it's been a fair dump of rain, so it must be wet up top!
cheers

Got to love March.....

Got to Princetown at 9am, and snow was lashing down, we waited for a while, til it just turned to rain and high winds, and made a dash for it...

Up to Nuns cross wasn't bad- though I had only half a working face to enjoy it with , thanks to the freezing sleet... ๐Ÿ˜ฏ

Once down near Burrator, it wasn't bad, wet but not cold, but then we got to Hucken Tor, and got hit by hail!! ๐Ÿ˜ก

As I got back in the van, the sun started to shine.....

Still was worth getting out ๐Ÿ˜€
