Head east to the North Yorks moors, plenty of riding to be had there.

Or to be more precise Osmotherley to Hawnby

Else go west past Richmond to Reeth.

Best bet would probably head out to Reeth (24 miles)

If you want a lift to Dalby - I'll probably be going next Saturday

Hamsterley is around 1/2 hour - Dalby more like 1 1/2 hours

Lots of DH stuff at Hamsterley, depends what you're looking for

Hamsterley and Reeth are both about 30 minutes drive from Darlington.

There's some great stuff at Hamsterley, but you really need someone who knows it well to get the most out of it. If you like DH stuff, you can get a day pass from Craig at the DH hut.

If you fancy Swaledale, go t the Dales Bike Centre in Fremington and they'll be able to point you in the direction of some great riding. You'll need an OS map and some navigation skills. I'll be in Swaledale on Saturday, doing a big, big ride.

I'm in Darlington too, and my great grandma's surname was Briggs, so maybe we're related ๐Ÿ˜‰
