Just watched the you tube of this, and being old have a few questions;

1) what sort of bike, wheels and brakes is used for this sort of stuff - generously curious is it bmx / mtb some form of combo?

2) If a normal bod rolled off say, a substation hight building how hurt would they end up or can you pick stuff like this up - obviously not at 44, overweight and with a dodgy back!

2)

Trials riders train their brains to use their legs in such a way, that impacts don't hurt quite so much...

.... same applies to skateboarders and BMX riders.... zero inches of suspension to absorb the ipmact!

Danny used to use a magura hs33 brake on the back, but from his rising fame got picked up by shimano and consequently has moved onto having a shimano saint rear brake on the back with a 203mm rotor.

So if you train your legs to absorb the shock, presumably something like say a parachute landing does this mean a hardtail is a better bike for a trick like this?

i think the bike is rigid so the rider has better control over what it does, rather than being better at dropping from a large height - having said that, their landing technique suggests that they don't really need help!
