Quite liking the li'l motto sections there

Have they invented "racism is a pandemic" ?

I'd buy a T-shirt with that on

I'd forgotten how much nicer the rear wheel looks without a massive cassette stuck in there.

Not a fan of some of the political messaging, but the bike's certainly look stunning, specially Myriam's

It's not really political messaging, that's all just common decency, innit?.

Nice, really nice, commencal are looking awesome these days, meta 29 is a peach too.

Without wanting to go down this rabbit hole (as what matters here is the celebration of those amazing paint jobs), I'd say a number of people with destroyed small businesses and livelihoods (or even lifes) on the last few months might disagree with the "no justice no peace" part.

But I digress

Agree, IMO, Commencals seem to be the best looking bikes around currently

EDIT: self deleted for mega saltiness.

Nice one Commencal. The world is broken it's nice to know what side people are on.

That helmet! Wow.

Love the paint jobs on the bikes as well. Also like the message, the more we see it, the more it becomes the norm.

Not too keen on the two tone white bit in the middle ones, Max Hartenstern's Cube is a stunner, Charlie Harrison's Trek would even be ott for Shaun Palmer, Tahnee's Canyon is very nice, should have done the forks pink though.
Shame they'll all be brown by the finish, including riders, gonna be a total slop fest.
Loic Bruni may have jinxed himself, very presumptuous paint job.

Yes, a little pompous for Loic, but having seen the practice videos that guy seems to be up to something

Surely rather than sticking some BLM stickers on their bike they could have made an actuall change and stuck not-caucasian riders on them?

Come to think of it, I can only name one black rider Eliot Jackson.

im not a particular fan of trek (for no valid reason), but those sessions do like very nice.. The intense and the devinci just look plain odd.

isnt that the point of DH -its a bit of a circus of extreme. That said i've always been torn between the stealth with subtle anodising look, vs the full on in your face colouring - i've sported both, but currently stealthy..

Do you also use Pistonheads by any chance? That's one of their favourite phrases.

As for the wild paintjobs and gold helmets etc.. It's the World Champs. Go wild. It's always been like this.

Maybe I'm missing some of the point. But when organisations start sticking BLM stuff on as just another logo it feels like it's jumped the shark.

I you're an organisation then surely the buck stops with you (within your sphere of influence anyway). If Commencal are serious about it, then actually do something visible about it.

Like football teams protesting before kick off. No, go and elect/promote/hire more diverse people into the management and boardrooms. Kneeling has just become the new clapping in the politburo.

Sticking a logo on something to 'show suppourt' is implicitly just saying 'but what can I do'? And the answer is something. People protest to get organisations to change, not to change the logo* on their products.

*Uncle Bens rice and Robertson's jam perhapse being the exceptions that prove the rule.

Aye, I'm sure there is someone they can just scoop off the street and plonk on their bikes.

Sticking a logo on something to ‘show suppourt’ is implicitly just saying ‘but what can I do’?

Er, no. It's showing support. It's easy to forget in this nice middle class safe space bubble but there are plenty of people out there that would not take so kindly to a company nailing it's colours to the mast like that.

Anyway, back to the bikes. My god! Commencal have created a couple of lovelies between Pompons bling and the polished frames. Have to say Tahnee's looks even better with her matching kit. Quite like those Intense prototypes in a Nicolai Nucleon throwback kinda way.

So the top three women all on their shiny new Commencals then.
Impressive work ladies. Shame the paint didn't look anything like that at the bottom of the hill.
