As I fall even further into the grips of my slightly-to-young-to-be-a-mid-life-crisis crisis, I'm toying with the concept of doing the Dalby round of the NPS.

Any recommendations for cheap bike-friendly b&b's/hostels/campsites in the area?

Thornton le dale nearest village.
Pickering nearest town (small).
Malton not too far, maybe 20 mins in car.
There is some accommodation in Dalby, camping, pods and a b&b.
Very easy area to drive around (except A64 in the summer). So should be a lot to choose from.

Very bike friendly B&B in Pickering: http://www.elevenwestgate.co.uk/

Lockton YHA is close (so close they're now calling it Dalby Forest!): http://www.yha.org.uk/hostel/dalby-forest

Stoneclose Campsite. Located at High Rigg Farm, near Go Ape.

We stayed at Bridgefoot Guest House (in Thornton-Le-Dale) a couple of years ago, no probs storing the bikes and they did a very good breakfast.
