At the entrance to Dalby it says the "gates" close at 8pm.
But where are the gates ? We were there last nigh and were having a play at Dixons Hollow after our ride and would have stayed longer if we could as we were having a laugh and the weather was nice. But left at 7.30 as we didn't want to get stuck there.
We go after work but never have enough time to do a decent ride really because we need to be leaving by 7.30, So is there anywhere you can park that would allow you to stay later, and still get out after 8pm ?
(same question. For Sherwood Pines really)
For dalby park in Thornton le dale.
the gates are near the huts as you drive in.
There's a pub down the road from Pines. Never had a problem parking there and riding up to the entrance. Probably worth either being subtle about it, or having a pint afterwards. Watch out for the deer in the dark. Those eyes are spooky!
Pines is 10pm BST !
"For dalby park in Thornton le dale"
or Dancombe/Langdale End side and be nearer the old and new black stuff
the two gates at dalby are near the middle, near lake and dixons hollow you can still park at center and out side gates at dixons and get out when you what. gate only there to stop the boy raisers.
At Sherwood Pines the times vary on time of year (currently 10pm) but there's always access to the woods & Parking at the Dog & Duck at the bottom of the Hill or Eakring road at the other end of the woods.
Or in Rainworth & ride in on route No6-takes about 10 minutes.

That's kind of what I was thinking. Didn't see any gates at all on the entrance road where the pay booth is.
If I can park at the centre and still get out at around 10pm that's fine.
Could have played for another couple of hours last night easily ๐
Rode there today and didn't see any gates between the visitor centre and the start of the forest road. Which is a good thing because falling asleep on the far end of the Red and missing closing time was a genuine possibility.
You could park at mine and ride into the Pines... You could stay out all night then if you wish.
