I can't decide which to get.
I'm leaning towards the IXS.
Anyone tried both?
i have the IXS pads. also had 661 Straits, Fox Launch and Nukeproofs...
IXS pisses all over them in terms of comfort and breathability.
no idea how they compare to Dianese.
tried both prefered trail skins.
I bought a pair of Dianese trail skins from Wiggle.
They were promptly returned as the material covering the knee part was thin mesh stuff.
One off & they would be ruined (IMO)

had several offs, they are still intact
Thanks chaps.
Poah, why do you prefer the trail skins?
I like my Trailskins. They are tough, yet bendy and comfy and protecty. Is that a good enough set of reasons?
Tick. I stopped wearing my Kyle Straits as they were just too bulky/noticeable.
I thought the IXS carve's were a better fit (for me anyway) and felt like they were going to protect me more.
Although I wasn't even 100% sure on those, so i've ordered a set of POC's to compare aswell.

velcro top and bottom, side protection, really comfy and I don't over heat.
Tried on the Dainese- hated them. Felt awkward.
Tried on Fox Launch and they frlt like a glove but on a wall corner gentle knee pad test jeeez they arent fit for purpose. First fall onto anything vaguely sticking out wont help.
What are the IX like?
Starting to think knee pads are like different helmet brands for fit. I.e subjective.
Trailskins here had them a year now, several offs, never moved and holding up well.
