[#2834515]

Do you grease the inside of the EBB shell to stop it creaking or would this just mean it would slip round under pressure?

It's a Phil Wood one if that makes a difference.

I've a carver one and it doesn't creak that much - I just ignore it.

I use a thin film of grease but more to prevent it seizing than creaking. It does creak slightly when I REALLY load the pedals.

A bit of grease to stop it seizing as above but I've never had a peep out of my phil wood ebb. In a Dialled love/hate btw.

Ta. Mines in a Love Hate too. Based on above I'll try with a tad of grease and see how it goes.

i have a phil woods in my singular and an other EBB (unkown make) in my Cannondal BadBoy - neber had a problem with either creaking though. a very thin layer of grease should sort it though.

carbon assembly paste here - bitmore grippy than grease and does the whole anti-creak/anti-sieze thing too.

+1 to this, I didn't bother first time and it stuck... Now fully copperslipped and no movement, no creaks but fully adjustable.

Phil Wood EBB in a Love/Hate here, I slathered the thing in grease and don't hear a peep from it
