Hi guys, My dad who is 43 would like to return to mountain biking after many years out of the saddle.
He has some ideas about what he wants (steel frame prefferably 853) but the main problem he has witout being rude to him is that he has a long back but short legs for his height (5'11"), Idealy he needs a top tube length around 24" but with a low standover height, Does anybody here have an idea of what may be a good frame for him or does anybody have a bike for sale on here which might suit his needs.
On-one have a long top tube but you may struggle to find an 853.
A 456 would be best I reckon. If you're in the know, tell him that 853 isn't that important. There's an absolutely bargainious 456 in the classifieds at the moment...
EDIT: Not a 456; just an Inbred. Still worth a punt...
Could be the only person to ride a large Soul without a yard of post sticking out.
