I'm hoping to build a new pair of wheels for next season and I have a pair of DT Swiss RR465 Double rims that I was hoping to use.

Would these be suitable or are they a bit narrow for cross tyres ?

I don't think narrow rims are a problem, many use open pros.

Slighter wider are better, TBH, as they give a better tyre profile. But, frankly, it makes so little difference when your bike is caked in mud and you're off and carrying....
