Top work, 50 years ago this sucker got built, it now connects two halves of a city, and there is NO cycle or pedestrian facility. Well this morning a group of folks got together and reclaimed it for people. It certainly wasn't a geurilla action, I rode with my two boys in the trailer, and there were plenty of families, pushchairs, kids on scooters, and the obvious enemy of the state and tool of public disorder- Unicycles!
So there we go, a couple of thousand cyclists closed a four lane motorway, the revolution starts here!
Check the phot and video links too, awesome public protest action!
30 years 'til they give you a bike route? Mad ๐
They don't tell you that on the 'forever young' ad, top work; hopefully the action will get the powers thinking.
The anti car revolution is so necessary, and when it happens, it will be glorious. I've thought about setting up the HLA: the Human Liberation Army, as a vanguard guerilla movement.

Causing injury to participants in a sporting event, destruction of property to participants and prolonging road closures in a protest against road closures, sporting activities, exercise, healthy and green living?
Holding up traffic in effort to support sport, exercise, healthy and green living? Damn straight.
Nice try. Different solar systems, let alone same ballpark.
Druidh - your carpettack man was upset because his road was closed to cars for one day, our bridge has been closed to bikes and peds for 50 years.
