A cyclist lifted his bike over lowered barriers at a railway level crossing before wheeling it over the track as a train approached, police have said.British Transport Police said the incident happened at Kingussie in the Highlands about 16:50 on 11 August.
Just why?
could ask the same question as to why drivers do it?
Some people just think they know better and bad things only ever happen to others.
Until it happens to them, at which point their response is 'it's someone elses fault/responsibility'.
what he said, some people are just total idiots, seen way too many of those videos, no need to define them by their method of transport, tools will be tools. Some people just think they know better and bad things only ever happen to others.
Darwinism at work innit ?
Darwinism at work innit ?
Not if they survive.
A prison sentence for transgressors seems perfectly reasonable imho considering the potential danger to other users.
Spare a thought for the poor train drivers.
Spare a thought for the poor train drivers.

Like this poor sod:
He said: "When he rode past us he put his hood down, said 'cheers' and gave me a thumbs-up, and then put his hood back up and carried on. I could hear music as he rode past."All of a sudden he stopped at the gate.
"I asked Grant what was up ahead and he said a rail crossing. As he pulled the gate open I realised I could hear the train coming. We started running and Phil was already cycling out onto the crossing.
"He didn't look; he just had his head straight, looking towards the path."
