Can anyone point me at some decent trousers for cycling in, I've seen some New Zealand made ones but I can't remember what they were called.

I'm looking for baggy-ish trousers that are splash proof and don't look sh1t off the bike.

Cheers

You're not thinking of Lab Gear by any chance?

You'll be thinking of Ground Effect Ranchsliders!

Yes, I have Ranchsliders and they are well made, comfortable etc etc BUT they are only a little bit splash-proof. I managed to get them really soaking one day just from puddles and unfortunately it necessitated a visit to the GP ๐Ÿ˜ณ

The problem is that they are a fairly thick fabric and will hold water. Wet fabric/abrasion/several rides' worth equated to a serious problem

I now prefer to wear my Gore Alp X waterproof shorts.

I've got some; they are VERY robust, but (as CG says) they are for riding in the dry only. Look good off the bike, too.

Meant to have said they are very warm and windproof.

I tried ridng trousers, only Altura Altitude ones, and to be honest if you are planning actully riding a lot in them I cant reccomend trousers, long tights with shorts over the the top for decency is way more comfortable when its cold and wet.
