Found pic below of my mate (who was a very quick on a bike) which reminded me how we used to do things. Ride to work/college all week, pub Fri + Sat night, club rides & riding to all races at weekends, even if 100 miles away, on your 531 road bike, arrive at a pub/village hall car park, leaving your spare waterproof/lights/tools in a carrier bag under a bush, do the time trial or road race. Special training diet and instructions pre and post race: eat Bramley apple pies, crisps, drink more beer & smoke fags. Ride home, start same again on Monday.
