My 4 yo daughter has just started longer rides and is doing great, but I fear the biggest barrier to progress may be saddle discomfort

A quick google didn't come up with anything suitable for someone her age... anyone found anything in the past?

Keep your eye for Aldi stocks..that where we got ours. Definitely think the interest and enjoyment of riding increased once the children had the padded shorts so its a great idea.

I am on lookout for new baggies for my 11 yr old son, but not seeing any good deals at mo either..

Might go have a look in Decathlon

Ours didn't (and don't) really give a hoot (all boys), but were made up when we found gloves small enough.

Decathlon or Dare2Be at the cheaper end, Altura or Polaris for a bit more.

Mine didn't like proper shorts when they were very young though.

Maybe because they're much lighter but this doesn't seem to be that common a complaint for kids. My son quite happily rides in normal clothes.
