[Closed] Cycling after a hernia op.

I had an operation for a epigastric hernia repair yesterday. I was expecting to see the surgeon before I was discharged but the nurses said they don't bother to come round for that procedure. I now don't know how long to wait before I ride my bikes again. Has anyone had experience of this type of repair recently? I actually feel like I could ride now but maybe should leave it till next week to be on the safe side.
I've had a inguinal hernia repair done in the past and I could have ridden after that if I wanted too.
