[#11017594]

So due to be able to apply for cyclescheme again next month and been thinking about tools.

Now the cyclesheme website says you can get tools - but it's worded like this:

Pumps, puncture repair kits, cycle tool kits and tyre sealant, to allow for minor repairs

So - what does it class as minor repairs?

It also goes on to talk about your HOME WORKSHOP.

Do we think that this would be taking the mickey:

Anyone?
Spoke to CRC and they were very vague and just quoted the Cyclescheme page?

Might email cyclescheme and see if they can clarify things.

Not taking the mickey at all - a commuter bike must be kept in good mechanical order, that is indisputable.
I wouldn't bother asking a cyclescheme minion what their definition of a tool is, I would just attempt to buy it and see if it goes through or not - that's the definitive answer.

I can't answer your question, but that Topeak thing is rubbish.

The sliding wheels jam, so it falls over, there's loads of tools you never use whilst it misses essential ones, the whole thing is flimsy and much smaller than you expect and it's massively overpriced.

You can get better tools that are more specific for your requirements and a decent toolbox for about half that price.
