[Closed] Cycle Surgery - not exactly great service

So I bought two Whyte 2018 bikes in their sale - ordered on 3rd August. ย They said should be delivered the following week.....One was delivered towards end of August and the other one... Well still not here. ย I have called them constantly - nearly 4 hours of call time according to my mobile, emailed quite a few times and also tweeted. ย In the end I cancelled the other bike and ordered the same model but 2019 from a bricks and mortar bike shop. ย It costs more, but actually I decided that I just didn't want to give CS any more of my 'hard earned'. ย To add insult to injury, the bike I did receive (for my son): I removed the Cycle Surgery sticker from the frame to reveal a largish scratch to the paintwork. ย I complained by email but have heard nothing. ย OK, so its not exactly a proper rant as I haven't used any capitals or exclamation marks but its really just a moan and hopefully no one will give these idiots their money. ย I looked at some reviews of CS and they reveal quite the same issues as I had. ย As someone posted that Evans were in trouble, I cant see it being long until CS go the same way.

Cycle Surgery run off the back of Snow & Rock, which generally does pretty well. Until climate change wipes out ski resorts and Brexit makes it too expensive to go on ski trips. There's not much other option in the UK to get skis, boards and boots fitted so always a need there. While S&R exists, CS can probably survive, unless they decide to downsize the shops.

S&R clothing is nice to browse, though expensive, but have bought stuff because it's just nice and decent quality. Whenever I'm there I'll venture into the Cycle Surgery section and have a browse. They've got interesting things, but not cheap. I might impulse buy something but rarely would go there for something I really want as, a bit like Evans, they probably haven't got it in stock.
