[#11830890]

So after I ended up going for an On One on 0% rather than the crappy selection of bikes on the website we get stuck with through work I decided to have a trawl through to see if there was anything that was actually worth using it for.
Ended up ordering a pair of boost Pro 4 hubs to upgrade the Big Dog and a front mudguard which is gonna cost me a gnats whisker over £140 for the lot!

My cycle scheme is terrible too. Its always been rubbish stock and over priced. We have to use a portal so very little choice.

Last year they had nothing available in my size by march. I might have another look and see if they've got any new stock.

Mine has always been ok, in that I can use the LBS but limited to 1k. I enquired whether that will be lifted this year and HR said they are ‘reviewing the policy’. Hopefully that doesn’t mean some new scheme where I can only buy Carreras, or that they are scrapping it due to WFH. Would be annoying for those of us still attending the office...

Ours is supposed to be getting changed so people can buy ebikes with it and get discounts on electric cars but they seem to be struggling to get it all finalised

Yeah I’m hoping we get ours raised for ebikes, I’ve just ordered a 5.5k Trek Rail I’d rather not have to pay for all in one lump 😂

Our company is through Halfords, it's good for those who want to use it, but i just don't really want to use a scheme that takes 15% off independents, only way i'd use it is if i needed a bike ASAP due to something happening to mine, but would use Tredz so at least halfords charge themselves 15%

15%? Is that standard or just for the Halfords one?

I assumed the employer picked up any fee. So essentially they are doing nothing for the scheme, despite handing it out as if it were out of the kindness or their hearts? Interesting

Appears to be standard, well 10-15% depending on the scheme.

Scandalous really for what they do.

I asked a LBS that if I didn’t take a bike through cyclescheme could I have the same 15% discount. They said no.

Others used to be 10% until Halfords took the piss with 15%. I think some have followed their lead unfortunately.
