Can anyone recommend a good sat nav app for (road) cycling please? I'm after one where I can pre-program the route so I avoid main roads.
TomTom?
Not sure if Navman does routes, but it's free and great for the car.
EDIT: Sorry, meant Navfree
CycleStreets or Bike Hub?
The Bike Hub one does turn-by-turn navigation like a car satnav, but I actually prefer the Cycle Streets one for planning (also you can plan a route on the CycleStreets website then use it on the phone)
The Sustrans Complete National Cycle Network app is also useful for reference.
*(All available for Android too)
For off-road use: MotionX GPS is good as it lets you navigate outdoors-style by waypoints and bearing rather than following a path.
Sustrans app is very good.
