[Closed] Cycle Computer Advice on EXTREME budget.

Hi all, just getting into cycling on a very tight budget and I'm slowly getting my kit together with a view to eventually commuting to work in addition to some leisure rides and who knows, maybe more.

I've picked up various bits of kit from second hand/discount sources. I got a Giant SCR 3 in great condition recently for £125, shoes and safety gear for a few quid here and there. I'm starting to build up my cycling endurance (from pretty much zero) and really enjoying my rides now.

My question is this, what would you fine folk recommend as a basic cycle/trip computer? I'm already using Strava to track my activity but it'd be great to know what I'm doing on the fly with regards to distance and speed (at least to start). Or perhaps is a bar top phone mount something of an option, my current phone is an HTC One M8.

Budget is super, crazy tight, so I'll consider any options you folk can suggest.

Thanks.

Look out for the lidl and aldi offerings, they are around the £3 mark.

Thanks for the very swift responses guys. I've actually got a pair of the Aldi shorts. I'll pop in soon and have a look!

Not quite as cheap as the Aldi job but it is wireless and has a few more functions. http://www.decathlon.co.uk/count-8-counter-wireless-cycle-computer-id_8173018.html
