[#4229209]

Off to CYB this coming Saturday. We have been twice before and done the beast (loved it) and then Tarw. We were so dissappionted with Tarw...anyway as there is a mixed group of abilities the beast is abit too much distance to tackle this Saturday.

Should we just do MBR? Or can anyone advise a similar route that gets all the best bits..... About 20km would do us nicely.

As long as I get false teeth in I'm happy! ๐Ÿ™‚

Dragons back is a good option though make sure you miss out the pointless fireroad section after the 'halfway' cafe by going straight up beside it rather than off to the right!

I disagree on the "after the cafe" bit. The road is a bitch of a section, while the fireroad is lovely and easy, with some epic views.

thought so ๐Ÿ™

Any idea if you do the Beast route and cut out the loop between hermon and gomez up the road, how much distance this saves?

We regularly make unfit, inexperienced people ride the full Beast when we go in a mixed-ability group, it's all part of the fun.
