What tyres are they and how much do you cut off them?

I'd leave a bit more than that on for general riding...

Oooh, no. Not like that. I prefer those, with this much cut off.

Wet Screams.... Tread is cut in half.

Both Centre Knobs and Cornering Knobs.

They are pretty horrible in the dry, very buzzy for want of a better word.

I use them in the dry when it's really loose/loamy... TBH i also use cuts most of the winter unless at places where tracks are incredibly muddy. I think there far more predictable than a full lenght spike.

Although some friends are using the new Schwarble Spike and reckon thats amazing. Its a bit like a cross between a full lenght spike and a cut.

Cut 2-3mm from the top of each knob. Generally these are a dh racers tip as most of the courses we use are well established so mud is never that deep and there's always a hard base underneath.

It's also possible to use them as full spikes for a while then cut down giving fresh edges and almost new tyres.
