What tyres are they and how much do you cut off them?
'bout that much
I'd leave a bit more than that on for general riding...
Oooh, no. Not like that. I prefer those, with this much cut off.
Oh well, if it's those ones then you're probably about right there CF...if it was these then you want a bit more off
Wombat, those are on back to front.
CF, it's fine, I'm going to be riding it left handed
Wet Screams.... Tread is cut in half.
Both Centre Knobs and Cornering Knobs.

grantwayThanks BIGMAN One question are these then riden in the dry?
They are pretty horrible in the dry, very buzzy for want of a better word.
I use them in the dry when it's really loose/loamy... TBH i also use cuts most of the winter unless at places where tracks are incredibly muddy. I think there far more predictable than a full lenght spike.
Although some friends are using the new Schwarble Spike and reckon thats amazing. Its a bit like a cross between a full lenght spike and a cut.
Thanks for that
Much appreciated
wear gloves or you will have blisters
Cut 2-3mm from the top of each knob. Generally these are a dh racers tip as most of the courses we use are well established so mud is never that deep and there's always a hard base underneath.
It's also possible to use them as full spikes for a while then cut down giving fresh edges and almost new tyres.
OK Thanks for that Steveh One thing do you cut them at angle
or just flat straight cut?
