Has anyone had one made? How much did it cost and where was it from?

Cheers

I've got a few. My better half is a jeweller and can make them but they're not that cheap. approx £80 made from silver.

Jen Green - http://www.headbadges.com/id4.html

I think someone on here used to do them too, but the name escapes me. The cost is in the labour as much as the raw material TBH

The silver is cheap, its the handmade carving or mould making that costs.

IIRC my jen Green one was about the same price.

I've just had some mango sapphires put into my new IF badge 😉

There's a guy who does pewter ones - gemo@f2s.com

I got an on one one for £14 delivered (to cover up the scummy yorkshire rose on my new summer season) 😛

Looks pretty nice imo.

£35, I couldn't even get one we've already got a mould for cast for that I'm afraid. Maybe the bloke who does the pewter ones can sort you out. Can't remember is ID though ;-(

Yep pewter is what I'm looking at, I think having a silver headbadge on my bike would be a bit showy for me.

JonR/Andyhilton

Can't you make a mould and then just use that jewelry "silver" that you play with like plasticine and then bake off?

I want one for my chameleon... (though I could just get one from the official site)

why not make one?
then its totally custom, and you can feel proud(er) of it.
ive considered it before, carve it out of wax, and then cast it in silver.
I seem to remember my grandfather doing it in his garage once, he was into fiddly tinkering. he also repaired watches, which was pretty incredible, making tiny cogs and sprockets by hand.

how about, cutting one out from a piece of sheet copper. i reckon that would be nice, especially as it greens over time.

I suppose myself and Andy could have a pop but considering the pair of us a ham fisted clods it probably would be better to find someone with a modicum of artistic ability.
