There was a guy who'd modified a steel frame and turned it into a tandem with the a rear-suspended 'stoker' subframe and smaller (20" I think) wheel that fitted his kid so he could ride offroad, with a lower Centre of Gravity than a traditional child seat.
I would love to get some more details on this, but I only bookmarked it - www.singletrackworld.co.uk/article.php?sid-1743 now sadly a dead link ๐
Anyone point me in the right direction here?
