What a day! Sold my Morf and arranged to meet the buyer at Knutsford services. Ended up stuck in the sweltering heat for a long time due to an accident on the M6. Finally met the buyer and then proceeded on to pick up my new (to me) bike.
Lots of driving (and more delays) later I finally pick up what is my dream bike. A lovely Cotic Flare in great used condition. Drive back home all giddy and looking forward to riding it this weekend. Get the bike out of the car and have a mess with it.
I’ve spent all my spare cash and I’m looking forward to riding the bike. Turns out there’s an issue. Not with the bike, it’s great. Issue is it has 150mm dropper and I have the proportions of a gibbon / ET. Saddle is way too high for my short arse legs. Nooooooo!
Erm..... can you not drop it down a bit? (The dropper bit of the seat post).
Sleep deprived from infant and tired from drive. That never actually crossed my mind. Will do that and save for a shorter dropper!

What was the issue with the Morf in order to get rid of. looked a riot no?
Great bike, but time to admit that I’m not as young as I was. Felt battered after most descents. If I could afford and had the space I’d have kept it.
Rear suss started to appeal. Saw the Flare at a great price (always thought they’d be way out of my reach) and couldn’t resist. I’m a bit of a serial swapper too 😕
I was considering giving up MTB, but Mrs Funk convinced me not to. Looking forward to trying full squish for the second time.
