[#10704255]

Morning all. Have had a fantastic 2 days riding with friends around Derwent and Edale on our now annual Peaks trip.....We have a final day to ride today and have never done Cut gate....something we’d like to address! It has been a bit of a wet summer start so just wondering if it’s good nick before we commit. Thanks in advance for your help.

The majority of the trail handles weather very well and will be dry after yesterday's sun. The bog will be wet but there is a path through the middle of it if you take the lower option. Every option will result in having to deal with wetness.
Don't try and take wider lines as they're no better and just make things a bigger problem.
Have fun, it's one of my favourite trails

rode it on friday - only got one foot dirty jumping across the bog of doom - your good to go - take the left at the end - much more fun singletrack  imho than going right if your doing the lollipop route

Superb thanks Pook! Blue skies, dry and dusty and some friendly locals for fine tuning advice. The bog of doom was a mere 2ft shallow puddle 😊. Topped off our three days of local riding nicely, especially with the last descent!

Not on twitter so didn’t look into alternative ways KOTP reporting....

Wish it was less of a mission to post photos as have some nice shots.

Yeah I was up there on Sunday night. Bog of doom was doom free.
Also one of my favourite trails, it's just so perfectly challenging in both directions. Has anyone cleaned the bull Clough side as a climb? Came amazingly close this time 2x 30m pushing. Smaller 30t chainring helped a lot. I reckon it's doable.

Its a challenge going up, not so much going down

I reckon some of the steep lines down the bull Clough end are genuinely challenging going down. Other bits are a challenge to ride quickly.
