Just bent the mech hanger on my Cube hardtail again! Don't even know how - seemed to be a cliched case of just riding along ๐Ÿ˜‰

Has anyone else found the Cube hangers to be comparatively soft?

Any suggestions for any alternatives?

Also my LBS Cube dealer always struggles to order the right one. Is there anywhere to source them online by specifying bike model, year etc?

Not just Cubes, loads of bikes out there with hangers that aren't really up to the job. Try BETD for something a bit more sturdy.

They're supposed to be sacrificial though aren't they?
You don't want something too tough, the same way you don't want something that bends too easily

What would you prefer to break - your frame or your mech ? Your hanger has done exactly what it is supposed to do.

What he says...

Why not get a custom made one in hardened steel and we can all laugh when you start a thread, my cube frame has just broken.

Why not buy more than one at a time and you won't have to wait for a replacement.
