CUBE LTD TEAM from JC CYCLES..What a disaster ! – Page 5 – Bike Forum

hi guys/gals To cut a long story short , last tuesday 21st june i had my cube LTD Team delivered and the cube decals on both sides was coming off and didnt notice it until i took cardboard protectors off the frame and started putting the pedals on. the bike is on finance and in my brothers name so its a bit of a goose chase when i have to go through my brother to deal with something thats never happened before. anyway JC CYCLES said cube was out of stock on the CUBE LTD TEAM 20'. and that they ordered a brand new frame only from cube. anyway had the bike re-delivered today at my brothers address , (oh and to mention that i was not told or my brother was not told on both deliveries when its was being delivered.) i got to my brothers this evening at about 6.30 , i opened the box to see that there was a scratch on the top bar about an inch long just before the D where it says LTD.. with the bike still being inside the box i also noticed that there was No Seat, No Seat post , No pedals, NO box with all the instructions. im now now fed up and im just so glad my brother is so laid back and said he will phone finace company to make a complaint.. how do the Incompetent Cowboys get away with this ? i wont be supprised that this thread will get removed as i think someone who works for [b]JC Cycles[/b] works there or he could actualy be the owner comes on here very often. im sorry andy but this is not on and i might be the first one for this to happen to but even without the latest scratch , forgetting to put the seat post , sadle and pedals in, and the box with the instructions is just not exceptable. people might say BUT its just a little Scratch , yes it is just a little scratch , a little scratch that i didnt do and the fact thats its now twice and im not prepared to pay Near £1000 for a bike thats scratched. and most off all its meant to be anodised and scratch proof. i have this time shot a video of myself opening the box so i got that to back myself up. to a link to the whole story and photes here : [b[img][IMG

Is this the bikeshop in Ramsbottom? If so he's a bloody good lad. Gave me a rear qr for free after a well known co-operative sold me the wrong one and I only checked at the start of the ride. He also lent my business development manager a Giro helmet (which she still has sat in the office)

No, the Rammy shop is DJ Cycles; Dan ex LL in Bury.

He's a good egg, knows his onions, and other food compliments.

It oens't smell like Grimsby around there. Well, occasionally in the Hair and Hounds

I can't be bothered watching the OP's video of himself opening the box (which sounds almost as if he was expecting to find a scratch...) but would love to know how carefully it's opened. It is a tiny little scratch, btw.

we Dont remove all packaging when doing brake swap ect i have heard of other shops even test riding bikes before they send them

Really? You take bikes straight from the supplier and punt them out to customers straight away? 😯

If that is the case, and unless Cube work differently to most other major bike manufacturer out there - I'm not surprised you have problems with some bikes you send out...
