Forks could be a bit better for a £450 bike imo.

Great frames that are worth upgrading the parts for when they wear out, proper hydraulic brakes. Let down by the fork but at this price there's going to be a compromise.

Also look at a Trek Marlin 6 for the same money

Forks on that carrera are no better

Calibre 2 2 from Go Outdoors is well regarded and cheaper than that Kona.
