Crown Race Reducers?

I want to fit a 11/8" fork into a tapered head tube. The frame has an integrated lower bearing where the sealed bearing just sits in the frame.

Are crown race adapters all more or the less same? It's currently got an FSA headset fitted.

Adapters/shims are available meaning you can use the normal 1.5” crown race.

I found this out shortly after spending a small fortune on a Chris King reducer crown race…

Google is failing me for finding them, mind!

reducer crown races are not all the same, but crown race adapters are. Nukeproof do a 30 and 45 deg adapter that CRC often have for a few quid, that would fit a lot of headsets

Hope make a 1.5" to 1 1/8" reducer. It's about £10, you fit it to the fork then fit the normal headset crown race onto it.

There's the hope version or the one piece enlarged split crown race reducers from nukeproof or superstarcomponents.

I have the Hope one, works fine but cut a thin slot in it if you want an easy life.

Great thank you.

Just read on the park website that the bearings should have the angle printed on them. So I can work out which Nukeproof one to order

The hope reducer is good and £10. I didn't cut a slot as it was going on staying on as I didn't have any headtubes that needed a 1 1/8" steerer any more.

Nukeproof crown race is 45 degrees from 2015 onwards, if the bearing says 36°x 45°, 36 is the internal angle so the older race is for that bearing.
Superstar one is also 45° and has a decent rubber seal that sits in a machined channel on the race.
Also if there's no writing on the bearing then two pencils or Allen keys can be used to find the angles, one on outside, one on the inside angle.

Thanks @noeffsgiven. That is super helpful. I've got 36° x 45°
