Hi Guys,
My old Crossmax XL's have the old worn bushing problem & according to the mavic site I need the FTS-L body & Pawls.
Does anyone know wether the newer FTS-X Body & pawls will fit? The shop I spoke to seem to think all the crossmax use the newer FTS-X body & said it's an improvement over the originals.
Lastly, has anyone used the replacement bushings from BikeWCM on ebay? If so, do they solve the problem & how easy to fit are they, as I can't budge the old worn ones out of the freehub body.

Thanks, look forward to your expertise!!

Darren.

Dunno where you've been looking on the site, but for Crossmax XL (and indeed all but the first Crossmax) you defo need the M40580 freehub body and the MTB Pawls 32430301 (early ones had the same as the road pawls, but changed to use the MTB some years ago)

Thanks Zulu-Eleven, I got the info from here:-

http://www.tech-mavic.com/tech-mavic/technical_manual/data/tech-mavic/uk/produits/vtt/crossmountain.htm#crossmaxXLDISC

Also, the pawls I've just removed are the one-piece metal ones without the red plastic carrier, which is confusing me somewhat.

No problems my little tank killer

Yes, the older M40578 pawls can be replaced with the newer 32430301 ones, with the M40580 hub body

- the tech doc comments regards FTS refer to an older Freehub body, M40082.

If BikeWCM is the US based company, Yes the kits are well worth the money, I have buddy just re built his Mavic XL wheels and they are like new now.
