Time to winterise my commuter and need some proper mudguards but I believe that there are some compatibility issues with the discs brakes. What have people fitted to theirs?

TIA

I didn't bother last winter, tho I generally prefer form to function ๐Ÿ™‚ will keep an eye on this thread tho. Have you got panniers out of interest?

No. Am fortunate enough to have a locker at work so I take all my kit in for the week and then ride in for the rest of the week ๐Ÿ™‚

I have a Day One. I hate mudguards. I appreciate they can be useful but despite what some people will have you believe, they're all awful. I have struggled to find anything that will fit properly, not make any noise and don't hinder the performance of the bike too much.

I've got a Genesis Vapour fitted with these http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=25794

Whilst it doesn't have disc brakes looking at how they fit i can't see it being an issue.

I couldn't be with out mine, well worth it for the winter.

It will look naff but personally I'd use an MTB style mudguard that clips on the seatpost, after all you're presumably just worried about spray on your backside rather than spraying anyone riding behind you?

You're all wrong! Apart from the OP, that is.

I put full length SKS chromoplastic musguard on my CdF. 45 mm width. When set up straight there was no rubbing on the 35mm speed king stock tyres. When I fitted some 32mm slicks there was plaenty of clearance.

EBC did the initial set-up and I didn't like their solution so I can show you what I did to route the stays to the mounts. Worked really well, no effort etc. etc.

However pics will ahve to wait till I get home! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

Same here as Jon Taylor, 45mm SKS in white, no issues at all with them, some ingenious bending by Tim Johnson of Sideways Cycles around the disc brake stays otherwise all stock stuff.
