Will it work? Unsure if they have different hub widths.

Croix de Fer has mtb width so will be wider AFAIK

It works fine. That is what I have on my 2015 Croix de Fer frame custom build...

The Mavic wheels are 135mm spacing AFAIK so should fit your bike. They're heavy, though.

100mm spacing front and 135mm spacing (mtb) rear on the 2015 croix de fer.

I have a set and yes, they are heavy. Nearly 2kg a pair. There don't seem to be many light, reasonably priced 11 speed disc road wheels about yet.
