So I've got a few days in Crickhowell in the Brecons next week and looking to get some days on the bike. Been looking at a few trails in the local area (the crickhowell 'blue' route seems pretty popular but looks like the middle section might be an issue after heavy rainfall) anyone got any suggestions/advice?

Weather has been a proper issue and anywhere not armoured is horrible at the moment. You could ride the Gap from Talybont or just do a loop of the Talybont valley if the weather high up is rubbish. Otherwise a loop of the Blrenge would work or a trip up around Llangattock mountain on limestone is going to be possible. Wherever you head it will be muddy though so plenty of kit to change into...

Can't recommend much in the Blacks at the moment as it is simply too wet

Personally I would probably head down to Cwmcarn or BPW instead.

Proper slopfest around here currently, Gap or trail centres it is.
I was on Mynydd Illtyd Common a couple of weeks ago and once you got up to speed you couldn't keep a line or see where you're going and tore the ground up.

Could head over to the canal and head west, pubs at Llangynidir, Talybont, Pencelli, Llanfrynach, Groesfford and then collection from Brecon.

I'd also head to BPW. I was down with the in-laws last week and it rained solidly for 4 days. Off road is a mess. From Crick it's a quick drive up to Beaufort and then to BPW.

Ok, sounds like trail centre/bpw might be best option, thanks all
