(Sits back and waits for the bashing to begin)
Similar experience here - new bladder ordered on Monday and it's in my porch on Tuesday lunchtime.
Nice...
How about the postal service too?

How's that for starters 😀
I've just had good service from them...sent back a bunch of stuff from 4 different orders placed over the last 6 months and although the manual form-filling is a bit of a ball-ache, £400+ refund was prompt, no quibbles. That 12 month return policy is sweet.
Lucky you guys...I ordered some chainring bolts Monday morning and still drumming my fingers on my desk waiting 😕
I'd have thought it was parcel force or RM you should be thanking.
All crc had to do was pop the item in a box on the same day it was ordered, as per their 'mission statement'. 😈
Similar service here, bottom bracket arrived next day.
On-One also supplied a frameset ordered Thursday night arrived Monday.
Merlin managed to send a stem next day, shame it only had two of the six bolts it should have had. Now I will find out how good they are at sorting problems.
Evans took a little longer, quick to reply to a chaser email and the goods arrived in only a few days.
I've had the opposite experience since they moved ot the new boxes - used to take 3 days, hail, rain or shine (and it was next day delivery over £100). Now it's about five working days to get anything off them - and that pretty much always spans a weekend too.
The brakes I ordered three weeks ago never arrived by Royal Mail. According to CRC they were dispatched and must have got lost in the post. No way of knowing, really. Every other CRC order has been smooth, in my experience.
Is it secure with credit card payments on CRC now ?
I used paypal just to be sure
My Paypal account is Rssd at the minute 🙁
I emailed them because a stem I ordered had a bolt that wouldn't bite,
New one arrived 2 days later without even sending the original back!!
That's service!!!
here's good service for you...
Ordered a set of bars from JensonUSA (based in California). 30 hours later the postie was knockin at my door. sweet!

Unreal! sounds like you had a touch there 😀
last year every order 2-3days max! this year 5-10 days and I'm in Republic of Ireland thats next door! 🙁
I had parts shipped from US and A that took less to be delivered ( standard post ).
I'm not super happy about it and will probably switch to different online shop.
Brake adapters ordered yesterday - arrived today - all good here.
Plus UK Bike Store - ditto. Top service from both.
5 days for delivery here.
Tub of Torq arrived this morning.
Nothing in the tub but plenty in the box.
I,ve been on to them so will see what happens.
There fault though..The box was about a zillion times the size of the tub.
It must have been bouncing around in there.
So the big box theory doesn't work all the time 🙁
Ordered a mrp mini G2 SL chain device from CRC at 3 nearly 4pm yesterday, postie at my door before lunch today. I have had great delivery from merlin as well, ordered a stem at well past 4 pm and got it 9 am next day, the last time i ordered from merlin they were out of stock of easton carbon haven bars, so i went for the havocs, and the next day havens turned up, but the invoice did still say havocs, i was well chuffed with that!
I have just had an annoying problem with descent gear dot com and winstanleys, website says IN STOCK and then its 24 hours before they tell you its not in stock for another 7-10 days, i find this happens with a lot of companys! A bit annoying when you need parts for the weekend and you could have ordered it from somewhere else if you knew it was NOT IN STOCK .
hmmmmmmm
ordered something yesterday at 12pm - thought id use them for the first time in donkeys...
clearly states orders placed before 3pm gmt and in stock will be dispatched same day ....
mine still says processing this morning! really pee's me off , could have gone with merlin for a few quid more and pretty much guarenteed it would be here....
mega busy or not, shouldnt state it on the site if they cant fulfil their statements 🙁
In my experience, your account may say "processing" when the items have actually been despatched, so I would wait and see what arrives in the post (or email CRC to check. I did that and got a prompt reply updating me on the delivery).
I placed an order before 12pm yesterday and paid for next day postage, my account still shows processing.
We shall see..
hmmmm interesting! thanks, just as you wrote that ive had an email saying dispatched, though the dispatch day says today 16/9/11 at 00.00
wonder if that means it was sent yesterday or actually only just today
ahhh kingtut - ive got a chance then of it coming today - as mine now says dispatched as of 9.01!
i did email them yesterday just after i ordered and the chap told me it was almost ready for dispatch, at about 2pm...
just had an email from them, and it was infact dispatched first thing this morning 🙁 so the statement on their site is absolute horse shit! they have said they will look into why it wasnt dispatched yesterday....
i dont mind if it doesnt come due to Royal Mail etc as thats out of CRC's hands, but it infuriates me when they cant even do their job properly and stick by the wording on their site....
the reason i chose CRC was the statement on their site, it WILL be dispatched if ordered before 3pm! no other site i could see offers that statement....so they falsely advertised a promies they cant keep and hooked me in on it...more mug me...
PANTS!
probably the last time i use them, especially when they were only 3 quid cheaper than elsewhere like merlin
I haven't even had an email.
🙁 id get onto them and demand a refund for the postage then KT, shiteee, busy or not....
if they are that busy, then they should remove the statement from the site to stop the confusion, annoyancy!
They have until 1pm to deliver, we shall see.
I placed an order before 12pm yesterday and paid for next day postage
Tut, I never pay for next day and it almost always comes next day. Not worth it round our neck of the woods.
Don't you think your winding your self up a tad ocilate?
yeah i am flatfish i agree! i dont usually moan about stuff like this as nine times out of ten its the royal mails fault 😆 and i cant really complain about them as you never get anywhere 😆
its just the fact it SHOULD have been dispatched yesterday and was'nt, something that is clearly stated on their site, remove that statement and id expect it whenever or try local...if it was dispatched yesterday it probably would have been here for the weekend...now its likely to be next week....
i know its a pants rant, but it is wrong to advertise something that they are not capable of 100% doing every time...

Unfortunately the last two orders (albeit some time ago) took 3 days to arrive.
The item I ordered had 40% off so I though it was worth paying the £5.99.

Nobody gets something right 100% of the time, I know what the website says but generally CRC are pretty good at sending stuff out on time. Their customer base is huge, how much was sent on time and delivered next day compared to how much was delayed?
Sometime's somebodys order is in that small percentage of delayed items.
I've been shopping with CRC for years now and I think I've had two late parcels and got scammed earlier on this year but it's not stopping me use them.

i agree with your sentiments - its just it shouldnt be advertised as dispatched sameday for orders before 3pm.....
if they are busy then take it down, or employ more staff....why should some people get lucky and have their things delivered, and others not?
its not a technical tast, its picking something and putting it in a huge box with a label....
ive not used them for a while (because of the fraud thing) and its not helped me again with this....
im only moaning cos i really needed it this weekend 😆 😆
and the thing is i would have bought it at merlin for £ more and pretty much guarenteed it would be here tomorrow, you makes ya choices etc etc, i thought ill give crc a go as its a tad cheaper and it was well before 3pm when i ordered....hopefully it will come tomorrow now..
Its actually the couriers responsibility how long it takes to arrive and whether its fast or slow, nothing to do with CRC. Thats what they told me when i was waiting for a package for well over a week anyway.
Unless i pay for next day delivery things usually take 4 days to a week.
I've never had anything other than fantastic service from CRC. Ordered a fair bit of stuff and it has always been on time and in order.
I've just ordered a few bits, keeping my fingers crossed that they might be delivered tomorrow, I've got nothing to do tomorrow afternoon so it'd be nice to spend some time in the man cave.
Well mu order has just arrived, 1 hour past the deadline, label says RM Special Delivery 1pm the Postie just left it on my desk and left no signature or anything.
Used to be great. The last 3 orders with them have taken between 3-4 days to get here when ordered on a Monday morning before 12pm even though they state orders before 3pm will be shipped same day.
Not complaining but maybe they should update their mission statement 😆
yep exactly - and to boot ive just got a £10 voucher for over £50 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 🙁 karma or what 🙁 : 🙁 🙁
I ordered some good on Wednesday at 14:30. received them Thursday morning at 08:30 using the free deliver option.
Currently building up a new hardtail; CRC have delivered next day on every order, brilliant!!
