Do people generally ride the road sportive on the Saturday before the enduro?
Builth Wells has a Saturday road ride, a night ride then an enduro on Sunday that's a proper bike fest.
Dunno, but I was thinking of doing both in Selkirk so I'd be interested to know how people find it. I got round the Sunday in 4h30 last year so it wasn't a struggle. I was planning on taking the road ride at a slightly more relaxing pace to allow flat out riding for the mtb.
I have my clubs confined road race on the Wednesday. After a 25 mile solo break last year it nearly killed me (and I got caught and subsequently dropped) and took me a good few days for my legs to recover for the CRC marahton.
I did both the Selkirk rides last year, although only the 50mile road and 70km mtb. This year I hope to do the long ride of both. I enjoyed the Selkirk road ride. Great scenery, although they messed up the water tables a bit so hopefully that is sorted this year.
🙁 I've entered for the first one, was going to potter round the Saturday road ride and go a bit harder the next day on the mountain bike HOWEVER I am currently in bed with a bad back 🙁
Got physio this afternoon, let's hope it works! I've got to go to work, I won't get paid if I don't go.
