Will it fit a set of 29" wheels?

I had one of those. It will take 29er wheels if you deflate them.
I have one from about 5 years ago but it looks the same. It takes my 26" but XL heckler with 2.4" tyres no problem. It also fits a large roadbike so the extra diameter wheels aren't an issue. It's a great piece of kit for the money. I normally add some foam pipe insulation round the tubes and some large sheets of thick cardboard down the sides for a bit of extra protection. Also good to brace between the dropouts with an old hub (or drill a bit of broom handle) and cheap QR in case the usually diligent baggage handlers have an impromptu trampolining session.
