Yesterday, while descending a double track at a speed way over what I should've been riding at in snow with ice underneath it I had a good old crash.
Front wheel clipped the side of the rut, slid sideways, back wheel overtook and I went over the bars / side of the bike and promptly slid down the trail on my side. No major injuries but a nice hole in my elbow and a proper bruise forming on my hip & thigh ๐
However I managed to rip the hose out of the remote end of my Reverb, haven't had chance to look closely but it would appear I've snapped the barb in half.
Is this an easy fix (I've got the full bleed kit and all the bits that come with the UK supplied ones).
Any guides on t'interweb?
Yep, pretty easy, unscrew barb and replace with new one, re attach hose etc and bleed, we have barbs in stock.
Cheers.
I take it they all come in the bleed kit for shortening the hose?
Half the barb is in the hose and the other bit may well still be in the remote somewhere ๐
You got off lucky. When I crashed I ended up breaking off the remote lever by sticking it into my thigh (ouch).
Mine kinda points downwards so there wasn't much chance of that happening
