[#8352975]

Just ripped the pedal thread out of a M8000 XT crank for the second time in a few months.
Looking for replacements that are going to last longer than the four rides the last one managed.
Must be 165 long, none boost and for a 73mm BB.
Can't seem to get past Saints.
Anything else woth looking at?

Been running Truative/SRAM x9 level ones for years now, zero issues Hope BB with a GXP conversion in it. Great kit. Also got race face ones, similar idea and work well.

Just had the same and the local bike shop is fitting a steel helicoil to fix it.... Would that work for your cranks?

It would but as it's the second crank that's gone this way I'm not sure I trust them any more.
Also I'm not sure how much alloy you have in the thread hole before you're into the hollow bit of the crank.
Maybe there's a fault with them if others are also having the same problem?
I might try and warranty them.

What pedals are you using?
Possible that the pedal thread is slightly defective?

Brand new Burgtecs in the one crank and brand new Gamuts in the other.
I think the chances of two different brands of brand new pedals having defective threads are pretty slim.

Raceface Aefect Cinch

Don't come in 165mm length.
