[Closed] Crank length for SS, what's the difference?

I'm struggling to understand the physics, but I'm assuming that a shorter crank length (165/170) would be more spinny and longer (180) would provide more leverage.

Can anyone share they're experiences and how they affected the ride?

This is how I understand it.

For the same ratio, a longer crank would make it easier to put power down. If your legs are long enough to cope then this could be a good thing. A shorter crank would indeed make it easier to spin but be harder to pedal.

As mentioned though, you have leg length, terrain and bb height to think about too. I am short and prefer shorter cranks.
